Depending on the severity of the addiction, the person would see a therapist or a councilor for therapy, and would probably see a medical doctor, or a psychiatrist, for prescription drugs (yes, drugs to stop taking drugs) in order to break the addictions. If it’s a very serious situation, they might be admitted into the hospital, or a rehabilitation center for a period of time, in order to undergo intense treatment and observation.

There are no special “names” for doctors who deal with addictions, only psychiatrists who sometimes specialize in addictions.
