Drug addiction….?

Question by limon: Drug addiction….?
My brother, is probably the biggest addict I know, he has been most of his life. I know its a stuff thing for him to deal with, he smokes crack and drinks 99% cleaning alcohol. Its amazing how much power it has over him. He cries because it hurts him. He has been in and out of treatments, you name it, he has pulled through a few of the years, and also got married and has a children he is a wonderful husband.
Regarding addiction, you can get out of it, yet like my brother is drawn to it, its like some evil force. Can anyone shed some light on drug addiction, and pray my brother gets well.

Well I will definitely pray for him and you and your family. It is hard when someone we love is an addict. All you can do is encourage him to get help AGAIN. You can’t force someone to do it if they aren’t ready mentally. He has to want to quit for himself. I do wish you well and I hope he finds the will power to check in and get help for good this time. My ex-best friend is a crack addict so I understand how you feel. It’s hard to deal with and it takes a toll on you and everyone around you.Take care.

Answer by kissfan5273
Just like depression and people who self injure, addicts seek the familiar. Think of it this way, someone who has been in prison for 50 years, starting maybe when they are 20, don’t know how to live in the ‘real’ world. They never had to…so they go back out and commit a crime to go back to prison. If an addict gets clean, and starts to live life, he may face hard times he ‘missed’ while on drugs, therefore he gets scared and seeks the familiar. My best advice for you and his wife is help him get clean, and if and when he does show him he has so many reasons NOT to go back. Help him through those hard times that he hasn’t been through or is afraid of.

I hope this helps

Then after you call the help line the fist lady put in there, get a hold of a mental health place and get her into profetional mental health to find out why she feels she has to self medicate in the first place.
Or maybe they do that in dug rehab places??
She could more then likely get on the state medical who would pay to help her? This is what it is there for.

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog Porn Filter, you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That’s important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don’t let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

Best answer:

Answer by AmberE
I do not know if you feel like you are never full or not, but try drinking more water. Having more water in you can make you feel fuller as well as being a better beverage to drink not having all the calories and sugars. When I was younger I had a similar problem and I decided to take a picture of myself in a tight shirt and shorts and put it in my snack cuppbard as well as on the fridge so that everytime I went to eat something, I had a reminder of my weight and would not eat them. Being 17, I assume you still live at home with your parents and I would say you should consider talking about your weight concern with your family and they may be supportive and not keep as many snacks at a time as well as getting healther snacks like fruit, veggies, and whole wheat crackers and such. You could also try having a better activity level, go for walks, swimming, bike riding, roller bladeing, as well as even just dancing in your room like crazy for an hour a day. If you would put more exercise into your daily routine, it can help counteract all the food you eat in a day.

Answer by Claire
Eat healthy snacks that will keep you fuller for longer, such as almonds and a piece of fruit. If you’re hungry, try drinking a glass of water before you eat. It will curb some of your hunger. If you’re hungry around night-time, go to sleep. Speaking of sleep, make sure you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night because that burns a lot of calories.
