My boyfriend’s dad beats him?

Question by Cassandra: My boyfriend’s dad beats him?
My boyfriend’s dad hits, punches, pushs and basically beats him. I just found this out recently. He doesn’t hurt him substantially but he does it almost everyday for no reason. You see, my boyfriend had a great family life until a little over a year ago (right when we started dating), but his mom decided out of nowhere to leave and divorce his dad (even though he was a good guy and as far as we know never did anything to set it off). It was hard on my bf because he was a bit of a mommas boy and always had a great family life. She turned psycho and left, and is now living in Delaware with a friend she SAYS. We think she might be living with another man and possibly right in the area. She is terrible to my bf now and never answers his calls at all. She is mad because his dad wont sign the divorce papers. Well since then, his dad has gotten progressively worse and wont let go at all. First it was he just started yelling at my bf for stupid things. Then everything, everyday. Wont take him to get things he needs (a new cell phone because his mom dropped them), a computer for school work, rides to get ANYWHERE since he cant drive yet. Now he beats him and wont even let us in the house anymore. He hates me too i think for some reason. He is just getting ridiculous. I feel like something needs to be done. His family wont have an intervention because theyre afraid of ‘hurting his feelings’. Mostly just afraid to be upfront im guessing. And my bf is having a terrible life and I don’t want him turning to drugs. He hates to be home but he has lost his closest friend so cant sleep over there, his dad doesnt let him anyway. I wish I could let him move in with us but my parents wouldnt allow it at all. I’m afraid to call the police or child services because I think that may just make his life even harder and i dont want to be the one responsible for getting his dad in jail or something, his whole family would hate me you see because theyre somewhat the nice respectable kind. And his closest relatives that he goes to live with might be 25 minutes away from here driving and that would drive him crazy. I just want his dad to have to start going to therapy or something because he is not this bad person. Idk, but nothing permanently life ruining to my bf.
What should I do??? Leave it the way it is or is there a way?

Suspected drug abuse?

Question by cookiefactory4: Suspected drug abuse?
Here’s the things I have picked up on so far…loss of money, can’t remember where it went or what it was spent on…mood swings…sexual disfunction…17-30 lbs weight loss in a month despite regular meals…hearing things that aren’t said…casting blame for everything on others…lying. I suspect it’s drug abuse but I’m not familiar enough with the different kinds of street drugs to know what the symptoms of each are. Any clues as to which drugs have these effects?
