I am not sure what your asking but I think your asking what shows up on a drug test and in that case any drugs do. There are different classes there are opiates, which all pain pills like oxy’s, vocodin morphine percocet…thinkgs like methadone and heroin will all test positive for opiates. There is cocaine which coke and crack will test positive for that. There is excstacy, and marijuana, and methamphetamines. Some will test for benzodiazapines which are valuim or xanax or klonopin. There are some professional ones that tst for ketamine, pcp, acid. They can honestly test for everything.
Answer by Pamela R
The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) requires that companies test for five specific categories of drugs. Most drug testing companies will provide a test that checks for all five categories. These five categories include:
· Cocaine – Includes Cocaine, Crack and Benzoylecognine
· Cannabinoids – Includes Marijuana and Hash
· Amphetamines – Includes Speed, Methamphetamines and amphetamines
· Opiates – Includes Heroin, Opium, Codeine and Morphine
· Phencyclidine – PCP
Depending on what profession you are in or what business or governmental department you are required to take a drug test for, there may be expansion tests required. These test for additional drugs such as:
· Barbiturates – Including Phenobarbital, Scorbarbitol and Butalbital
· Hydrocodone – Including Vicodin and Lortab
· Mehqualone – Known most commonly as Quaaludes or Ludes
· Benzodiazepines – Includes Valium, Xanax, Librium, Serax and Rohypnol
· Methadone
· Propoxyphene – Includes Darvon compounds
· Ethanol – Known as Alcohol
· MDMA or Ecstasy
Drugs that can be tested for, but are not commonly tested for include:
· LSD
· Tryptamines – Including Psilocybin, AMT, DMT, DPT, 5-MeO-DiPT
· Phenethylamines – Including Mescaline, MDMA, MDA, MDE, 2C-B, 2C-T-7
· Inhalants – Including Toluene, Xylene and Benzene

argumentative essay topic; drug addiction?
Question by xcxrxmx: argumentative essay topic; drug addiction?
i would really like to write an argumentative paper about drug addiction; possibly recovery or something not too scientific about it.
i am having trouble deciding what about drug addiction can be argued? what is a topic that has two opposing sides or different views to drug addiction?
I know where to get information i’m in an argumentative class though; meaning whatever topic i choose there has to be two sides of the issue.
Why people turn to drugs is for many complex reasons, nothing I can argue, and legalization is not on the topic of drug addiction.
But classifying addiction as a ‘disease’ is something that could make an interesting paper.
Anyother ideas? (: thank you.

well you can find out why people turn to drugs, what effect it has on them and their families, the help that is offered, how easy it is to get that help, the relation between drugs and crime, whether drugs should be legal and should alcohol be legal. basiclly find out as much as you can about the subject. personally i think alcohol is the most devistating drug of all.
the best way to find out about recovery is to talk to people who have been there, and organisations involved with it.
Answer by The Duke
If it was me, I’d ask whether by classifying addiction as a disease, we are just enabling people to take no responsibility for their own lives. ‘It’s not my fault, I have a disease.’ Disease or selfishness? Having spent my life surrounded by addicts, I tend to think it’s selfishness. And as family members, how far are we really expected to go to help them with their ‘disease’? If someone has cancer, does that make it okay for them to destroy their families and hurt everyone that loves them? I’m not a scholar but I hope I made a point.

christianity has nothing to do with being “goody goody”- one of the most important parts is admitting you are a sinner….that’s the only reason christianity exists..if we didn’t sin then there would be no reason.

You should tell someone you trust. Your mom, his parents, teacher, guidance councelor etc. This is a serious issue and if you feel he is hurting himself you should tell someone if you want it to stop. In the long run, thats what a good friend would do.
