crack is a real bad drug, i almost lost a friend to it. she has to want to stop and sometimes that isnt even enough. all i can say is be there for her. she will go through a lot of changes and only think about herself and the drug and go to extreme lengths to get the drug, just be there.. i dont know where to tell you to go for help sorry but i wish you luck

i know how it is to have someone you care about hurt themself like this or should i say killing themselves i know that there is a center for people who have addictions look in the yellow pages emergency operators that can help you and it’s not that hard to find that out just do research and someone will tell you where to go it is good to have afriend like you and someday she will definanly thankyou good luck to you both.
I know a lot of people who have been helped through Narcotics Anonymous (NA), but you can’t take her there unless she wants to go herself. It won’t do any good if you coerce her, and might even cause more problems. I know it’s awful but you just have to wait until she is receptive to the idea of quitting. You can mention it to her, ask if she’d be willing to go to a meeting, but by all means don’t drag her to one or blackmail her into going.
You might try a group called Al-Anon or Nar-Anon, which are support groups for friends and families of addicts. They can help you decide what to do. I know that Cleveland has active networks of both groups.
Twelve-step groups aren’t the answer for everyone, but it’s a good place to try, anyway.

here goes the bad part…i know you want to help your friend and be there for her…but she is the one has to want the help….b/c if she is not ready to help herself….than it’s not going to do her any good at all ….and plus she has to be the one willing to go b/c she is an adult. too bad she can’t be forced to go but this is something that she must do on her own….you could try talking to her…just to see what she’ll say but other than that it’s all up to her, the best thing to do right now is pray for your friend and i will keep her in my prayers as well….hope everything works out good luck!
I have a sister that has an addiction. For 6 years I tried to help her. The only person to help her is herself!!! You are a good person to want to help her, you can only be there for support. It took me forever to figure that one out. Call a local rehab. center and talk to a counselor, they have the best suggestions. I spoke with a recover addict once when looking for help for my sister and she told me all you can do is pray, protect yourself, and support your friend, but don’t enable. What I mean by protect yourself is don’t leave your wallet lying around, financial statements, keep an eye on your valuable items. Unfortunately, I thought it would never happen but I was robbed. Not a nice feeling!! Good Luck to you and your friend.

anyone else. There is no greater rate of “games” by them than anyone else.
Usually if someone is fired its for a reason, even if its not the one
they’re told. And I’ve never been pulled over by the police for no reason.
The do have dashboard cameras, you know, and have to file a report for
everything they do.
@NoGuff You may not think of this, but as I would give the man a second
chance, I would have my butt covered. I don’t claim to be a business man,
BUT, some things would only be common sense that while I give a person the
opportunity to prove him or herself, I may have holes to fill. So in a
manner of speaking, I fill those holes with temporary filling. Anyway,
Still, too many people out there on the streets and somebody has to do
SOMETHING to help the people. Surely “OUR GOVERNMENT WON’T!”

@yucchhiiowwee I was going to work on getting a lawsuit on the cop AND the
city over the matter…Then I wound up moving to another state because of
an urgent need of a close friend. So I never got to follow through with the
suit. If I didn’t have to move, I would have saw it through!!! So, PLEASE
don’t thing that police OR employers are angels…FAR FROM IT!!!
